Pumpkin is just the dearest little…pumpkin, and he just loves his costume. Look at the look in his eyes. “Thank you, Mama, thank you. I know I look so cute, especially with my pumpkin suit on.” We had thought of naming him “Short-stuff”, but we thought that was confusing. His legs are short, but his body is long. And we were afraid he would be nicknamed Shorts, or even Stuffy. Then we wouldn’t know if we were talking to him or his stuffed animals. Very confusing.

The owner seems to be confused in general. That is not a look of “thank you” in his eyes, but a look of “I will do anything to please you, but really?” He’s hoping for a different costume next year but is also afraid he’d have a change of name, too. It could be worse. Meanwhile this dear little pumpkin needs to have his ears kissed and be told he is loved and beautiful with or without his pumpkin costume.
