Chewy always looks a little bewildered when we dress him up for holidays, but he’s so friendly and eager to please that he puts up with it. The turkey costume he wore last year for Thanksgiving caused him great concern, however. He doesn’t like being dressed as a Christmas tree ornament, either. I think he was afraid we’d hang him on the tree. Chewy knows Hallowe’en is all about trick or treating, but I think he’s a little worried about how he is going to carry his candy bucket.

From the Experts:

What is it that dog is wearing? Is he a pumpkin (what’s with all the dog pumpkin costumes, anyway?), or is he perhaps a caterpillar? If it’s a caterpillar we wonder what he’ll turn into. Or is it just meant to be a sweater? No one told him that stripes that go around make you look fat! And then there’s the hair cut! The poor dog is saddled with an unfortunate breed name, and then he has to put up with having the hair around his face cut that short! It’s amazing he has any self-respect at all. Maybe it’s a good think he’s wearing a hat, but that’s the only thing that is frightening about him. “Boo” indeed! And if he is worried about how he’s going to carry his bucket to get candy, he needs to be told the only things he will get are dog treats.
